Fruitbat Poppy's 3rd Year

For the third year running Fruitbat Textiles is very happy to be supporting the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal with our very own hand crafted poppies.

As someone who comes from a family with an amazing military history, remembrance day has always been important to me. Every year, for as long as I can remember, I have attended a local parade, worn my poppy with pride and donated to as many of the collection pots as I am able.

Three years ago we decided to start creating our own poppies using our hand dyed and woven fabrics. Each one is completely unique and is fixed with a double back ( brooch pin and crocodile clip ) meaning you can use it in a variety of ways!

With the best will in the world, we all know how annoying the paper poppies can be, you carefully pin yours to your jacket having popped your donation in the pot and set of down the road. You reach your next stop only to notice yours has somehow, in that short distance, managed to set itself free of your pin and is no where to be seen!

Our poppies are available in three different sizes, and this year we are pleased to add purple poppies to our range! Purple poppies represent the animals that served during war time.

100% of the profits from each and every Fruitbat Textiles poppy purchased goes straight to the Royal British Legion. For the last two years we have raised £50 for them through our poppy sales.... This year we would really love to smash that and give them even more!!
